It's been a pretty fulfilling day - spent lunch with Ari at Thai Noodle House (finally!!!), trimmed my tresses, took an afternoon nap, spent about an hour cleaning my table and throwing away loads of stuff, and then spent the evening with G. I've still got a never-ending list of things to do, but I thought I'd allow myself some time to blog since I'm trying to keep up with blogging regularly! In true posh pig fashion, I am munching on passionfruit meringue cake from The Pattisier while I pen this entry omnomnom.
Since we just announced this on our Facebook page, and the cat is sort of out of the bag, I thought I'd blog about Cocoquettes' 5th birthday this year! :D The day my exams ended, Lala and I had some super long Cocoquettes meeting cuz we were planning for the flea, upcoming shoot, and our 5th birthday. I can't believe it's already been 5 years since all this started, it's like our little love child hahaha. ;p
Well, anyway, this year I had the idea of giving away Starbucks gift cards to our customers (cuz I love them so much)! Originally, we planned to give away 2 or 3 gift cards, but I suddenly thought of having a little more variety so we decided to change some of the gift cards to Crabtree & Evelyn vouchers instead! :D So yes, this year we're giving away Crabtree AND Starbucks vouchers/gift cards! (Two of my favouritest things, teehee.) Of course, handmade jewellery will be given away too as with every birthday giveaway of ours. :) It'll be something like a lucky draw on Facebook so please participate okay!!!
We bought everything with our own money so I hope our customers who win the gifts will enjoy them! Unfortunately, we're not so dua pai so we don't have sponsors. >:( But it's okay, cuz we're happy to give back to the people who support us. :)
Okay so continuing with the long meeting we had.. I went to get the gift card and vouchers the very next day on 1 Dec, and omg I thought it'd be a quick trip to run errands in town, but noooooo it took way longer than I imagined! I went to Starbucks first and omg the queue was mother long because Starbucks decided to release some promo that day so there were loads of people flocking there! :( I considered going to a different branch, but I figured it wouldn't make a difference so I just patiently queued to get the gift card. :(
So after that, I made my way to Crabtree at NAC to get the vouchers, and just as I was paying for them, the salesgirl told me that they ran out of envelopes for the vouchers. :( But because I wanted our gifts to be in perfect condition, I asked her where their nearest branch was and if they had the envelopes... SO, I walked all the way to Crabtree at Paragon just to pick up a couple of envelopes. -___- So lame right, but that's only cuz I want the best for our giveaway winners okay!
Yeah, so that's my story wrt the giveaway haha. Anyway, Cocoquettes turns 5 on 12/12, so we'll probably release the details of the giveaway on that day. Keep your eyes peeled! x
